Education/Special Education Advocacy
At Positive Progress Psychology, we provide inclusive Education/Special Education Advocacy services to advise families on how to best support their children within the school system. As experts in education, we dedicate our time to understand your child's unique educational needs and identify what support services may be appropriate. We foster positive communication between families and their child's school to create a collaborative support team. This can include:

Assisting families with communicate their child's needs.

Requesting a 504 accommodation plan.

Referring to the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE)/Committee on Special Education (CSE).

Reviewing testing data.

Further assessing students to clarify diagnoses.

Exploring educational placement options.

Attending school-family meetings (including CPSE and CSE meetings).

Helping families secure additional services outside of the school setting (e.g., OPWDD and SPOA).
